Detour: MARKSMANSHIP or COURTSHIP? In "Marksmanship," teams will practice hunting like the Maasai by throwing a traditional wooden club known as a rungu at a moving target of a fake animal in the distance. Once both team members hit the target, the Maasai hunter will hand them their next clue.
>>Prior to the first team going, a 250-sided dice will be rolled for the moving target (which will last the entire round). After that, another 50-sided dice will be rolled and added to the initial roll, which will help decide how large the target is for the round (for example, 160 to 194). Both racers will then get a shot at tossing their rungu anywhere at the target.
In "Courtship," teams will take between 1-4 rounds to don the traditional Maasai wardrobe. Once dressed as a member of the Maasai, both racers must jump up and down to the beat of a drum for one minute straight, an incredibly difficult task at this elevation. Once both members have completed this traditional Maasai courtship dance, the village elder will hand them their next clue.
>>To jump up and down, you simply need to four rolls in a row (on separate turns) of 30 or higher. Roll a 75-sided, 70-sided, 65-sided, and finally a 60-sided dice while never dipping to below 30. Once you hit a number below 30, you stop due to exhaustion and start over on your next turn. Both racers may be attempting this at the same time.

Detour: MARKSMANSHIP or COURTSHIP? In "Marksmanship," teams will practice hunting like the Maasai by throwing a traditional wooden club known as a rungu at a moving target of a fake animal in the distance. Once both team members hit the target, the Maasai hunter will hand them their next clue.
>>Prior to the first team going, a 250-sided dice will be rolled for the moving target (which will last the entire round). After that, another 50-sided dice will be rolled and added to the initial roll, which will help decide how large the target is for the round (for example, 160 to 194). Both racers will then get a shot at tossing their rungu anywhere at the target.
In "Courtship," teams will take between 1-4 rounds to don the traditional Maasai wardrobe. Once dressed as a member of the Maasai, both racers must jump up and down to the beat of a drum for one minute straight, an incredibly difficult task at this elevation. Once both members have completed this traditional Maasai courtship dance, the village elder will hand them their next clue.
>>To jump up and down, you simply need to four rolls in a row (on separate turns) of 30 or higher. Roll a 75-sided, 70-sided, 65-sided, and finally a 60-sided dice while never dipping to below 30. Once you hit a number below 30, you stop due to exhaustion and start over on your next turn. Both racers may be attempting this at the same time.
